Product: HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2170m CTO
My sons PC was accidentally shut off during a BIOS update and I believe it bricked the motherboard. Where can I find what motherboard I have? I entered in the serial number and viewed the specs but didn't see that information.HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2170m CTO

The parts list for the PC indicates that it comes with theErica6 motherboard.
Here is the link to the Erica6 motherboard info:
HP Desktop PCs - Motherboard Specifications, Erica6 | HP® Support
The motherboard SSID is8906.
If you plan on making a BIOS recovery drive, this would be the latest BIOS update file for the 8906 SSID:
HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2170m CTO Software and Driver Details
The is link explains how to create a BIOS recovery flash drive.
I've already provided the BIOS file you need, which is good for either W10 or W11.
Updating the BIOS on HP Consumer Desktops outside of Windows 11| HP Computers| HP Support - YouTube
Here is how to use the BIOS recovery flash drive after it has been successfully created:
Afteryou create the USB BIOS recovery drive, follow the instructions that show up after the USB recovery drive has been successfully created.
1. Power off the device to be recovered.
2. Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port.
3. Power on the device.
4. The device may reboot up to 3 times with indicator lights on the keyboard flashing, or the screen appearing blank for short time.
Hopefully, that will fix the problem for you.

This seems like it would work but my home laptop runs on Windows 7 and this solution can only be completed from a windows 10 pc. Is there a version I can create from a windows 7 laptop?

You tried running the file on a W7 PC, and it didn't work?
If not, you will have to use a PC running W10, because that is the only file available.

I tried using my work PC but it blocks USB. I'll see if I have a friend with windows 10.

Ok, I installed and created the boot usb from a windows 10 laptop.
Put it into the pc and hit start and still nothing happens. I get a green light but no display on the monitor and even if I try to hit ESC or any F keys it’s still not doing anything.

I appreciate the suggestions! Any idea where I can buy the Erica6 SSID 8906? I found the part number,L56021-605, on the parts surfer link you shared but I don't typically purchase these types of components.
