Pandora[]

Pandora persuaded Regulus to accompany her to attack Elior Forest alongside her, though Regulus' reason for accompanying her was to retrieve his 79th wife–Fortuna. Also, Regulus saw Pandora as a higher ranked member of the Witch Cult, referring to her with "sama". But no matter how immense his respect for her was, Regulus was more than willing to shred her to pieces when she asked him to spare Petelgeuse's life. Having survived his attack, she promptly removed him from the scene, and the two have not displayed an interaction since.

Petelgeuse Romanée-Conti[]

Regulus was well acquainted with Petelgeuse as they were both fellow member of the Witch Cult and Sin Archbishops for a better part of a century. In fact, a century ago, the two were also leaders of their respective Witch Cult factions; Regulus as the head of the radical faction and Petelgeuse as the head of the moderate faction. Regulus felt nothing but scorn and dislike towards Petelgeuse, referring to him as "abominable" and "scum" on many occasions. Petelgeuse entrusted Regulus to not bring Pandora to Elior Forest but he betrayed him and the village of elves. When Petelgeuse took in the Witch Factors of Sloth, Regulus mocked his incompatibility with the Witch Factors and expressed his disgust for his pitiful state, right before their battle began. During their fight, it's revealed that Regulus despised the fact Petelgeuse was considered the leader of the Witch Cult as stated he should have been the one entrusted with such an important seat.

In Priestella, when Subaru mentioned his differences to Petelgeuse, Regulus mocked Sloth and claimed him to be weak. Ironically, it was because of Petelgeuse’s power, utilized by Subaru, that brought about Regulus’s defeat and death.

Lye Batenkaitos[]

Lye and Regulus besieged Crusch's and Rem's caravan in Arc 3 interlude. While Regulus was stalling Rem and Crusch, Lye took care of the knights that were accompanying the caravan. They both expressed dislike for each other, as seen when Regulus scolded Lye's uncontrollable hunger, and the latter snapped back at him, saying "they hate lecturing and they don't care about Regulus' views and ideals". That being said, they weren't hostile towards each other, despite the well known fact of Sin Archbishops fighting amongst each other.

In the anime adaptation of the Arc 3, Interlude 2, Regulus even helped Lye take care of Rem quicker by incapacitating her, giving Lye a chance to eat her name and memories.

Sirius Romanée-Conti[]

Regulus' and Sirius' relationship was relatively hostile but the duo spoke normally, at times. Usually, however, Regulus expressed deep disgust of her one-sided love for Petelgeuse, even going as far as calling her worthless scum and a flawed being and didn't hesitate to attempt to kill her.

Sometime after the events of the 3rd Arc and before the events of Arc 5, Sirius and Regulus had a short conversation via Conversation Mirrors, after the former collected Petelgeuse's remains and mourned her slaughtered beloved. Though initially starting off on a rather calm and collective note, Regulus expressed his somewhat bothered but ultimately indifferent mood to his partner's death. After realising he was being ignored, Regulus' mood gradually dropped as he demanded Sirius to stop crying as it intruded on his right to freely express his emotions. Naturally, Sirius ignored Regulus as if he hasn't said a word, and proceeded to rip her nails off. Regulus' anger then got the better of him and he slaughtered his 122nd wife, destroying the meteor in the process.

Crusch Karsten[]

Shortly after the defeat of the White Whale, Regulus met Crusch when he destroyed the convoy returning to the Royal Capital. Though she regarded him as a threat and demanded his identity, Regulus called her rude for not introducing herself first and pointing her sword at him. Refusing to listen to his rambling, Crusch attacked him, leading to an annoyed Regulus to sever her arm for interrupting him while he was speaking. The two did not interact again before his death.

Reinhard van Astrea[]

Like with anyone else, Regulus paid no attention and did not care for the Sword Saint, treating him as nothing special. Giving Reinhard an attempt to save Regulus’s wives from death, Regulus would kill him, though it didn’t stick, shocking Greed and leaving him open for a surprise attack. Afterwards, the two would fight against each other. During their battle, Regulus would repeatedly call Reinhard a monster who was fortunate enough to gain power and trample on everyone beneath him, including Regulus, the so-called most fulfilled man. On the other hand, Reinhard, though agreeing with some of his statements, would come to realize that talking with Regulus was futile, as Subaru had said. When Reinhard became frustrated with his inability to draw the Dragon Sword Reid, Regulus would even mock him for that, before being angered further by the reason for the sword’s action.

Eventually, as Subaru had discovered Regulus’s weakness, he would send Reinhard flying to the moon. Upon his return, however, when Regulus attempted to save his own life by challenging a “knight” to a duel, Reinhard would come back down and oblige. However, with the monster set before him, Regulus would attempt to back out of it, inviting the Sword Saint’s wrath and leading to the beatdown that would promptly follow, which would spell his slow and painful end.

Natsuki Subaru[]

Initially, Subaru met Regulus after he bumped into Emilia. Thoroughly creeped out by the man, he stepped in between them, and Regulus walked away. However, when Regulus saved Emilia from Sirius, he met Subaru again, spouting off about his rights while claiming that Emilia would become his wife. Shortly after, the two fought, though it didn’t last long. Leaving him a mocking invitation to his wedding with Emilia, he kicked up one of the tiles on the ground and nearly severed Subaru’s leg with it.

The two would meet again later at his reception. Hearing his name, Regulus became incredibly angered that Subaru was the one that Emilia chose over him, and he faced him down. Throughout their fight, Regulus continually mocked Subaru and was frustrated by his taunting. Easily tricked repetitively and his weakness discovered by the boy, Regulus’s rage peaked, and he continued to mock him and call him a monkey. At the end of their fight, when Subaru managed to forcefully end his Authority, Regulus attempted to challenge the knight to a duel, which Subaru allowed Reinhard to accept in his stead. As Regulus died beneath the city, he continuously cursed Subaru, and soon, his Authority of Greed attached to Subaru.

Emilia[]

Although he first noticed Emilia in Elior Forest 100 years prior to the story’s beginning, he had all but forgotten her by their next meeting. In Arc 5, he was led to Priestella in hopes of being able to fill the vacancy of his “79th wife.” Upon seeing Emilia there, he bumped into her and began complimenting her, though the interaction was cut short by Subaru. Later, at the beginning of the Battle for Priestella, he saved her from Sirius’s fire and proclaimed her to be his new wife, and he would issue a demand to the city not to disturb the wedding. Having brought her back to the third control tower, he had asked her certain questions in order to determine her “perfection” as his future wife. That said, when he showed full willingness to slaughter his wives in a fit of irritation, Emilia was left appalled by his actions.

At the reception, he attempted to place rules on her for after they were wed. However, Emilia told him to his face that she did not respect him and that she hated his view of things, his violence, and the way he treated his wives, leaving him angered and ready to kill her, if not for the arrival of Subaru and Reinhard. Shortly after, Regulus would attempt to kill all three of them, spouting off about the insults to his rights and openly mocking them. Hearing Emilia shout her hatred for him left him further enraged.

Towards the end of the fight, when he saw how Emilia completely froze the entire church and all of his wives, since he believed them all to be dead, he was disgusted by her actions and believed her to be detestable. However, he was fully willing to take Emilia with him as she was still holding a part of his heart in her body, and he laughed and mocked them yet again as failures. After Subaru killed this heart, Emilia immediately started pummeling him, leaving a bloody and broken mess, for herself and every one of his wives. In his death throes beneath the city, he eventually recalled Emilia from Elior Forest, and with his final wishes, saying that he’d destroy everything in the world once he escaped, he hoped that she would not celebrate his death, something that would come true as she still failed to remember him.

Fortuna[]

Regulus came to Elior Forest in order to forcefully marry Fortuna, however, after seeing her attitude towards him and Pandora, he quickly abandoned the idea and set his mind on turning her to minced meat; which he would have done it it wasn't for Pandora removing his presence from the forest.

His first wife[]

Ever since he was a small boy, Regulus always had his eyes set on one village girl who was a childhood friend of his, though not much is known about her. Once he obtained the Witch Factor of Greed, he slaughtered her family, broke her mind and forced her to marry him, thus becoming his first of many wives. She never laughed, let alone smiled, but due to Regulus' warped and distorted view on the world around him, he didn't think much of it; to him, all that mattered was her beautiful face which was the reason he married her in the first place. Somewhere down the line she committed suicide[1], but right before dying, she laughed for the first time. Regulus didn't take that smile all too well, swearing he'll never be alone anymore. On top of that, he forbid his future wives to show any facial emotions; a rule which would result in their deaths, if broken.

She was also the only wife who Regulus made a grave for.

His wives[]

For well over 100 years, Regulus had been married 291 times. In order for his Lion's heart ability to work properly, he had been keeping them by his side all the time. He had been choosing his wives based on their faces. Accordingly, smiling, crying or any other form of facial expression that his wives weren't displaying at the time of their first encounter was strictly prohibited and would result in their deaths (a strong habit/rule he developed after his first wife's demise). Although he claimed he loved them all equally, he would not hesitate to kill them if he felt like his rights were belittled or if he wasn't satisfied with their faces. Throughout the years, he had killed 238 wives, leaving only 53 alive. It is also worth noting that some of his wives were just as corrupt and scummy as him. Some killed people, some were Witch Cultists, some enjoyed torturing people and animals, and some were greedy. One wife even sold her younger brother to repay her debt and ran away.

Thanks to Emilia breaking them out of their emotionless facades, all of the wives all share a mutual contempt for him, ranging from finding his entire being repulsive to where no creature in the world can truly love him to having a strong desire to murder him in cold blood. One wife notes that she was kidnapped by him from her original lover to another saying that she lost count of the times she turned him down inside her head.

Regulus thought love makes it so people are unable to be independent, so he decided on gathering a group of good-looking women who were virgins, as to not be betrayed and/or fall in love with them, resulting in him being independent.
