Klein Independent School District Reviews

Rating 4 out of 5
Overall Klein ISD is a good school district. This district only has one IB school which causes overcrowding at Klein Oak, student struggles to join IB program, and traffic jams to drive to the singular IB schools. Not the mention, unless you're in the IB program at Klein Oak getting in the top ten is very hard and competitive. Administration in Klein ISD is very welcoming, however in the past month four teachers have been fired because of child p*rnography which is scary. All Klein schools have fights, bomb threats, and other in-school threats. The Klein ISD police are very good at handling all of these.

Klein Independent school district aided students to the best of their ability throughout the transition to online during COVID-19. However, as an online student, I found myself being looked. Unfortunately, there was a clear disparity when it came to the attention and help I got in comparison to the in person students.
However, the school administration promptly addressed technical issues and provided ample support to students and teachers navigating the online learning environment.
Although there were some challenges, Klein Collins clearly prioritized student well-being by offering virtual counseling services and creating online communities to foster some social interaction and emotional support amongst the students.

Since I began school, I have been a part of Klein ISD. Being here for so long has brought me many wonderful experiences, which I am grateful for. Some of the best parts have been connecting with a diverse community and establishing new skills I can apply to the outside world. While I think my experiences have overall been great, not everything can come without a flaw. Some of the worst parts for me have been safety issues. Many times I have come to school and have found myself outside because of a fire set in the restrooms or an online threat being made. I understand the challenges of trying to keep a school one hundred percent safe; however, it has become quite common that these drills happen, which makes me not feel the safest. I would like to see more safety regulations being made and enforced so nothing serious that endangers students occurs one day.
