Spotify Cares suggests re-installing the app. In another Tweet the support team suggests logging out, restarting and logging back in. Users don’t report success and Spotify Cares asks for a DM.

How to Fix Spotify Streaming Problems
If Spotify streaming problems stop you from enjoying your music you can take some steps on your own to fix the issues.

In many cases these Spotify streaming errors come form an issue with your home network or with your device. Sometimes you will see the Spotify error “Can’t play the current track” and other times you are stuck in “You’re offline” when you are clearly connected to the Internet.
- Turn on Airplane mode on your device and wait 30 seconds and then turn it off.
- Restart your iPhone, Android, Smart TV, Game Console or whatever device you are using to stream Spotify.
- Restart your Router. Unplug your wireless router from power for 60 seconds then plug it back in.
- Restart Your Modem. Unplug the modem from your Internet company for 30 to 60 seconds.
- Check the WiFi Router Location. If your router is hidden behind something, move it to a higher place and out from behind items.
If none of these fix your problem, you should make sure that you can use other web services on that device. You may need to try connecting an Ethernet cable from your modem to a computer to see if that works. You can also contact your local cable company for support.
You can use this guide to configure your router for Spotify. We don’t often find a need for this at home, but if you are at work you may need to ask your IT department to change some settings to let you stream Spotify.

If you cannot connect to Spotify at all you can use these tricks to get back online and streaming. These work best if you are still able to use other apps and visit websites.

If you are on your iPhone, iPad or Android you should first try turning WiFi off to see if you can stream on cellular data. This will help narrow the problem down.
You can also force close the Spotify app on your device and restart it. If that fails, restart your computer or device. If you are using the Spotify app you may need to try logging out and back in or even uninstalling the app and re-installing it.

If you share a Spotify account with another person in your house you may see a message that if you play music it will stop the other user from playing.
This is a frustrating position to be in, but if you are willing to spend $5 more a month you can solve this by signing up for a family account. For $14.99 a month you can each have your own Spotify account so that you have separate playlists and can both listen at the same time.

Sometimes when you are listening to music Spotify stutters, making listening to anything a pain. This is almost worse than not working at all because it means you can almost listen.

First off, make sure you can visit other websites. Next, log out and back into Spotify. If that doesn’t fix it, restart your computer.
If stuttering continues, open Spotify settings and go to Edit -> Preferences -> Enable hardware acceleration. If that fails you need to uninstall Spotify and perform a clean install.

Try logging out of the app and back in. If that does not workiPhone and iPad users should hold the home and power button for 10 seconds to reboot the device and try again. If that fails, or if you are on Android, you need to delete the app and reinstall it.

Sometimes you will open the app and start playing music, but there is no sound coming from the Spotify app. If this happens you should check the volume in Spotify on Mac or Windows and then click onthe speaker in Windows and then on Mixer to make sure Spotify is not muted there either.

On Mac, hold option on your keyboard and click on the speaker to make sure the output device is the one you want to use.
On iPhone or Android make sure your system volume is up and that you don’t have Bluetooth headphones connected. You should also try plugging some headphones in and taking them back out or cleaning the headphone jack with compressed air.

A very common Spotify problem is that you cannot log in. This may be due to an issue with your Spotify password.
If this happens you can use this link to reset your Spotify password by entering your username or email. The company will send you a password reset email.
Wrong Facebook Account on Spotify
When you log in to Spotify for the first time with a username and password instead of Facebook you may see the wrong Facebook account linked to your Spotify account.

If thathappens click on Spotifythen on Preferences. Go to Social Network then click on Disconnect from Facebook. You will need to click Disconnect again to confirm the change.
You can then click on Connect and log into your Facebook account if you want to link it to Spotify. It could take a day for the changes to appear.
How to Recover Deleted Spotify Playlists
Very often we accidentally delete a Spotify playlist. You can use the website to recover deleted Spotify playlists.

Log in to Spotify on your computer and then click on Recover playlists. If you just deleted a playlist it may not show up here, but it will appear on this page in the near future. When you see it, click Restore to recover it to your account.
Remove Spotify Offline Devices
You can only keep music offline on three devices with a Spotify premium account. If you no longer have the device you can go to your account page and click Remove to take a device off this list and free up a new space.

If you try to play offline music on a device and it will not play you may need to renew your Premium subscription, the device may not have connected to Spotify in 30 days or you added a fourth device and knocked that device off the list. If the Spotify app says your offline access is withdrawn you will need to re-setup the offline listening on that device.You can only keep 3,333 songs offline while using Spotify.
